What if money didn’t matter

Remember when you were a kid and people would ask you: what do you want to be when you grow up? You would say things like: an astronaut, explorer, ninja, globetrotter… Everything was valid, money or frontiers wouldn’t matter.

When student who had just graduated told Alan Watts that they didn’t knew what they wanted to do, he would asked them a simple question: What if money didn’t matter? We live in a society where the only thing that matters is money. Like Dave Ramsey said: “We buy things we don’t need with money we don’t have to impress people we don’t like.” We put money as a reference for happiness and it shouldn’t be like that.

So today I want you to ask yourselves:

“What do I desire” – Alan Watts

– Alan Watts
